A company’s secretary deals with different departments, arranges meetings, and handles other clerical tasks in a company.

A corporate secretary, sometimes known as company secretary, manages the legal and regulatory filings. He/She also provides advice on corporate law matters, and keeps the company's records with ACRA and other regulatory agencies up to date.

What qualifications do you need to be a corporate secretary?

ACRA, the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority, is the official registrar of companies and public accountants in Singapore.

Who is responsible for handling my company’s ACRA matters?

Your corporate secretary is the main contact point for ACRA to deal with your company.

Why do I need to file to ACRA every year?

This is for ACRA to ensure that your company continues to comply with the Companies Act, the Income Tax Act, and other applicable regulations.

Does ACRA provide any financial assistance for businesses?
